W.D. “DUB” ROGERS is an ordained minister, holds a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication, a Master of Human Relations, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from the International School of Theology. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors. He has been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and with SCOPE Ministries International, where he was Director of Training. KATHY ROGERS holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University. She is a licensed clinical social worker. She served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 24 years. Kathy has experience in the areas of medical social work, assisting those hospitalized with serious mental illnesses, and providing therapy in both nursing home and school based settings. She has also provided services to survivors of domestic violence both in shelter and in the community. Special interest areas include recovery from trauma, phobia relief, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, resolving spiritual abuse, chemical dependency family dynamics and Twelve Step recovery work. She enjoys training individual s and couples in parenting skills and communication skills. She has taken additional training in a5tachment or love-based parenting skills supported by current neuroscience research. Kathy provides individual, premarital, and marital therapy. Kathy is a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. She facilitates a twelve step Sunday School Class at Crossings Community Church that follows a support group format. ARLENE CRESWELL holds a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She has over twenty years of experience in biblical counseling, having been affiliated with Scope Ministries International and New Hope Ministry. Special areas of interest include working with adult survivors of child abuse, family and marriage counseling, trauma recovery, depression and helping both younger and older adults develop strategies for reaching and maximizing their potential. She works with families using a six-week counseling support program, designed to teach divorcing couples how to lessen the destructiveness of divorce on their children. She has been a frequent speaker and conference leader throughout the Southwest and has developed audio and video presentations dealing with the issues of depression, anger and loneliness. 
 
JAY HATHAWAY holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. He also holds an Undergraduate Diploma and a Graduate Diploma from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Jay has a strong theological background, having served as an associate pastor before beginning counseling work. Since 1992, Jay has served in and founded numerous church ministries. Jay has been called by God to lead others to a restored life in Jesus Christ. Jay’s heart’s desire is to work with  those who are hurting or struggling with various relational problems and obstacles in life.
 

DIXIE STEWART holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from United States International University in San Diego, CA.  She holds a Masters of Counseling Degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.  She is also a Certified Hypnotist. Dr. Stewart has over thirty years’ experience in the mental health field.   She is a counselor and crisis interventionist, working with all age groups in a wide variety of clinical and industrial settings.  She comes to Christian Counseling Associates from Alvarado Psychiatric Institute in La Mesa, California, where she was Supervisor of the Intake and Admissions Department.  Her experience  includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric work, private independent psychology practices, Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs, Child Custody Investigator, counseling with military families and as a psychologist for a Pervasive Developmental Disorders residential treatment program.  She has been a platform speaker and instructor at the community college level and a trainer for physicians, nurses and high school counselors. She has applied for licensure in Oklahoma as a Professional Counselor.

 

MYRLANE MENDENHALL Mendenhall holds a Masters of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma. Myrlane has over twenty years’ experience assisting individuals of all views and beliefs answer life’s most important questions. She has worked with Sunbeam Youth and Family Services, where she provided individual, marriage, and family therapy, and The Children’s Center, where she served as a therapist in a rehabilitation unit for children with brain-related traumatic injuries and birth disorders. Myrlane worked as a preschool teacher for 18 years. She also served as a staff member for Search Ministries, a non-profit organization committed to building relationships with people of all backgrounds and helping them discover what it means to know God. Myrlane volunteers for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children and Project Angel Tree. She teaches a Sunday School class for newlyweds and is involved in reading programs for children and youth group activities in her church and community.

 

RICHARD and CHARLOTTE ESCOE Richard and Charlotte Escoe have been Ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 40 years in the Oklahoma City-Edmond area. They both hold Masters Degrees in Christian Counseling and Biblical Studies as well as Doctors of Ministry in Christian Counseling and Ministry from American Christian College and Seminary. Charlotte holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Oklahoma City University while Richard holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from American Christian College and Seminary. Richard and Charlotte have over 35 years of Christian Counseling experience. They began their ministering journey with Metro Church under Dr. James Mahoney. After having studied in the Metro School of Ministries, they continued their education at Oklahoma City University. It was there they realized that their passion was for healing the sick, saving the lost, and setting the captive free. Richard and Charlotte have been Christian counselors since 1979 and Richard served more than 37 years in the Army.  Their extensive studies on the affects of Christian counseling on military families’ and soldiers’ symptoms during the Iraq war were given to the US Army National Guard and have been of tremendous benefit to the well being of the soldiers and their families.  Having been the Ministers of Music and Counselors for over 15 years at The Church at The North Gate with Dr. Jerry L. Mash, Richard and Charlotte believe that Christian Counseling is not an option – they believe it is a must in all phases of life. They are Ordained Ministers and have been and currently continue to provide counseling services in a variety of situations at The Church at The North Gate.

 

MONICA PEVEHOUSE Monica holds a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and is also an LPC Approved Supervisor. Monica is certified by the Oklahoma State Department of Education as a School Psychologist. Monica has counseling experience both in the public school system and in private practice. She has specialized training and skills in the areas of psychological and educational assessment. She conducts psycho-educational assessments tailored to the needs of the individual in the context of a comprehensive delivery system to help facilitate educational and emotional progress for children.

 

GINGER RADER Ginger holds a Masters degree in Agency Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  She is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and does supervision for others wishing to achieve their licensure in this field.  Ginger has over 20 years’ experience working with adults and adolescents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. She has experience managing an adolescent girl’s halfway house and an adult substance abuse inpatient unit.  She also has an interest in working with family members that suffer as result of this disease.

 

DEENA NOLAND Deena earned a Master’s degree with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Oklahoma State University. While completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Cameron University, she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and graduated with honors. Deena is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor-III. Deena has experience working with adult individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children dealing with communication and behavior problems, depression, anxiety, anger management, the effects of physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, and spiritual abuse, and other types of traumas. Her goal is to walk with her clients through the challenges and struggles they face so that they can ultimately connect with the good in themselves and the love that God has for them. Deena teaches the In-Tune Sunday School class at Crossings Community Church, and she is active in the ministry at the Crossings Community Center.

 

GORDON TAYLOR Gordon established his practice in California for 14 years before moving to Oklahoma where he practices in Edmond. He has Masters Degrees in
Education and Marriage and Family Therapy. He has been a Consultant for the California State Dept. of Education and has over 32 years experience as a Public School District Administrator. Gordon's understanding and respect for people from all walks of life can be attributed to his experiences in both the public and private sectors. He uses counseling tools that are pragmatic and productive to help each person become the very best they can be.
Gordon is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), and the Stepfamily Association of America (SAA). Gordon and Carri have been married since February 1986. Both were previously married; Gordon for 18 years, and Carri for 13 ½ years. Gordon brought three sons to the marriage and Carri brought two daughters. PAUL SILVESTRI holds a Doctorate Degree in counseling Psychology from Argosy University, Professional School of Psychology, and is also an ordained minister. Paul has thirty years of counseling experience in Marriage and Family therapy as well as in numerous individual psychological issues. He also works as an Adjunct Professor at Mid-America Christian University where he teaches a variety of graduate and undergraduate psychology courses. Paul has 15 years experience in Christian counseling. He is a current Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Mid-America Christian University where he teaches undergraduate and graduate classes.  From 1996-2004 Paul worked as a missionary in Lisbon, Portugal. He led a congregation of 10 people to become nearly 100, trained and developed indigenous leaders to lead the congregation, and turned a group of 3 High School students into a groups of 40 High School and College students that ultimately provided leadership for the congregation.
 
JOEY SHAW is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  He received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and his Masters of Education with a major in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma.  He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).  Joey worked 25 years with Edmond Family Services, (now Edmond Family Counseling), in which he served as an adventure-based counselor, family counselor, program director, and the last 12 years as the Executive Director.  During this time he worked closely with the Edmond Public Schools, the City of Edmond, the Edmond Juvenile Court, the University of Central Oklahoma and many Edmond churches.  During his career, Joey has worked with families, adults, and married couples, providing workshops, counseling and consulting services. Presently he is providing pre-marital education utilizing a computerized assessment inventory (Prepare), marital counseling, marital counseling for 2nd-half marriages with emphasis on life transitions (empty nesting, career changes, caring for elderly parents, etc.), and family counseling, with an emphasis on single parent homes. He also provides individual counseling for those who are experiencing concerns with anxiety, stress, and grief. Joey provides "counseling with a Christian perspective," by incorporating biblical principles and teachings within the counseling experience. Joey and his wife Patti have been married for 24 years and have home-schooled their three sons, Jeremiah, Josiah, and Joseph.  Through the years, the family has been involved in elementary and high school sports, educational co-op activities, church youth group and home care groups, missions, as well as community and civic activities.  Joey is currently a volunteer mentor with Peppers Boys Ranch, west of Guthrie.  He also provides a mentoring ministry to boys who, primarily, have absent fathers.  Through hiking and float trips, ballgames, and a variety of other settings, he and his volunteers create father/son-like experiences, watching for and utilizing teachable moments.
 
MELISSA R. RICH, LMFT, Ph.D. is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice for over 19 years. She provides solution-oriented, short-term therapy for individuals, couples and families. She deals with relationship and family issues and works with adults, children, and adolescents. She and her family have lived in the Edmond, Oklahoma area for the past 20 years. Melissa and her family have been members of Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond for 20 years. She is a full-time professor in the Behavioral Science Department of Mid America Christian University. She and her husband, Ed, have two sons, David and Josh. Melissa grew up in Latin America where her parents were missionaries. She grew up seeing first hand how God can provide and change lives. Her faith is very important to her and has sustained her through some tough times. She believes God's power can work miracles and can make great things come out of bad situations.

Her educational credentials include a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from the
University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK, a Master’s of Education  in Counselor Education from Houston Baptist University in Houston, TX, and a Ph.D. in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.
